Franchising and Social Media

More and more companies, from corporations to mom and pop shops, are utilizing social media. Social media is great for online visibility and helps generate word of mouth, so it is an obvious choice for franchises.

Social media can be a great tool, if used correctly:

  • Keep an eye on your competitors

Everyone is using social media, so know what your competitors are doing. Have they opened another franchise? Another 10 franchises? You can see what they post is comparison to what you post, how many follower/ likes they have and also see what people are saying about them.

  • Be interactive

It’s very important to always monitor comments. Reply to both positive and negative comments. It is key that you do not delete negative comment, but try to resolve the situation; people will appreciate the effort and recognize that you are serious about your business and your customers.

  • Content is key

Blogging is becoming more and more crucial to small businesses, especially. It can show your clients that you are knowledgeable in your field. Content also applies to Facebook, Twitter, etc… the things you post should be informative and relevant.
