Executive Home Care of Clearwater Responds to Hurricane Irma
As Hurricane Irma ripped through the Gulf Coast, Executive Home Care of Clearwater was on the front lines responding to the disaster situation unfolding.
Andy Corbett, owner of Executive Home Care of Clearwater, helped field calls at the local Tampa CBS station, provided advice to producers to be shared to audiences, organized a food and supply drive and hand-delivered the donated items to a senior community following the hurricane.
“When disaster happens in your community, you are called to help your neighbors,” Corbett said. “It means even more to me as a business owner that I went out and helped on the front lines any way that I could.”
Hurricane Irma took the lives of 42 in Florida and several others throughout the Caribbean during its two-week tirade across the Caribbean and into the United States’ coast. It came on the heels on Hurricane Harvey, and proceeded Hurricane Maria, to mark three devastating hurricanes in 2017. Several brands have been participating in relief efforts during and after the hurricanes.
“We are extremely proud of Andy Corbett and his office’s work and dedication during the hurricane,” CEO and co-founder of Executive Home Care Lenny Verkhoglaz stated. “From staying open, to fielding calls, to hand-delivering items, Andy was there making an impact in his community during a great time of need—that’s an example all business owners should strive to be.”
