Executive Care will triple New Jersey presence with expansion
JANUARY 10, 2014
Executive Care, a full-service home care franchise based at 210 State St. in Hackensack, has announced a monumental agreement marking a major milestone in its expansion across the state of New Jersey.
The company has signed a multi-site deal with renowned geriatrics specialist Pradip Shah, MD, to develop nearly half a dozen new locations throughout the state of New Jersey, tripling the full-service home care company’s presence in New Jersey and bringing home care options to thousands of communities.
The New locations will be located in Mercer, Burlington, Camden, Ocean and Atlantic counties.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with a home care company that understands what is at the core of every successful care-giving episode — respect for both the patient and the aide providing the care,” Shah said. “As the medical director of Executive Care, I’ve been fortunate to learn the ins and outs of home care alongside a truly talented team of executives. I can’t wait to bring an expert level of care to people in need of care and their loved ones in the communities I’ll be in.”
Shah has built an impressive resume working as a medical director in long-term care facilities and at hospice agencies.
He also spent nearly a decade as a clinical professor at the New Jersey Medical School.
Earlier in his career, he completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the renowned Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and also spent years as a resident at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Sensitive to the care-giving needs of those with illnesses and the local aging population, Shah feels individuals should receive care where they are most comfortable — in their home.
With his investment in Executive Care, he is bringing a number of communities in New Jersey a new level of skilled and non-medical care.
“This is more than just a business endeavor for me — providing medical services to people has been a way of life for me ever since I began medical school,” said Shah.
Shah anticipates creating as many as 500 new jobs in the next two years as he builds out territories and expands the Executive Care home care brand.
“We’re extremely excited to welcome Dr. Shah more closely into our Executive Care family,” co-founder of the company and CEO Lenny Verkhoglaz said. “We are working with Dr. Shah to provide him with logistics and the best technology to help him offer clients the best possible home care services. We’re thrilled to have a medical doctor really taking charge and leading our expansion throughout New Jersey.”
Established in 2004, Executive Care offers a variety of care-giving and skilled nursing services to help families often overwhelmed with the responsibility of providing care to a loved one — all while ensuring the patient remains in the comfort of his or her own home. In a crowded sector, the company has built a reputation from the ground up.
To ensure the highest quality, Executive Care requires all prospective caregivers undergo an intensive pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background investigation, verification of references and an employment history check. All caregivers are insured, experienced and undergo skills tests and continuing education training. Registered nurses closely supervise and monitor all staff, conducting periodic evaluation assessments.
