Stratford Family Opens Second Executive Care Connecticut Location in Norwalk

With an aging population that requires help with daily activities or with managing health, in-home care has become a popular solution. Looking to help manage the rising demand for such services, Executive Care, one of the nation’s leading providers of home health care, is opening its second Connecticut location.

The new location will service Fairfield County, and is the second that local owner Camille Savoie has opened with her children Robin and Michael.

The Savoie family has extensive entrepreneurial experience as the former owners of local favorite Stella’s Italian Restaurant, which appeared on the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible.” After 27 years in the restaurant business, the family saw a need in the community for a professional home healthcare service and decided to open an Executive Home Care territory in Stratford in October 2014. Now with three years of successful business, and having earned Hearst Media’s Top Small Business Employer Award in 2017, the family is continuing to expand Executive Home Care’s local footprint with the opening their second location—this time in Norwalk on October 1, 2017.

“More and more people have become aware that in-home care might be a better choice for them or an elderly loved one than moving out to a nursing home or other type of senior care facility. At Executive Care, we offer top of the line live-in home care services, and tailor our type of care to exactly suit individual needs,” said Michael Savoie. “We couldn’t be more excited to continue providing this service in our community, while also giving access to exceptional home healthcare to those throughout Fairfield County.”

Founded in 2004, Executive Care offers a variety of caregiving and nursing services to help families often overwhelmed with the responsibility of providing care to a loved one – all while ensuring the patient remains in the comfort of his or her own home. Services range from companionship and help with meal preparation and household chores to help with bathing, personal hygiene and personal care. Executive Care also serves individuals recovering from illness, injury or surgery.

To guarantee the highest quality, Executive Care requires all prospective caregivers undergo an intensive pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background investigation, verification of references and an employment history check. All caregivers are insured, experienced and undergo skills tests and continuing education training. Registered nurses closely supervise and monitor all staff, conducting periodic evaluation assessments.

“We’re thrilled to see the Savoie family continue to grow and make a difference in their community,” said Lenny Verkhoglaz, CEO and co-founder of Executive Home Care. “From being voted the Top Small Business Employer to exceeding their client’s needs—Michael even cooks for clients and caregivers—Camille, Robin and Michael are perfect examples of what it means to be a home healthcare provider. We couldn’t be more excited to watch their success continue.”
